Description

Literally, ‘Chaan’ means tambourine, a particular type of musical instrument of the percussion family. As the performers usually dance with this ‘chaan’, this performance is known as ‘Chaan Gaan’. This dance has a devotional appeal and it reflects the tribal ways of worshipping.
